Question: Your staff looks excellent, but will my child get any personal coaching from them?

Answer: Unlike some basketball camps hosted by star athletes, the logo of our camp is central to our program. Matt is at camp to greet campers when doors open every morning, and stays long after the very last camper has gone. Throughout the day, Matt is actively coaching campers as he shares his basketball knowledge and experience during drills, activities and games. Matt's passion for camp is evident, and is often on display when he takes to the mic for play-by-play commentating during the championship games.

Question: What's for the lunch at camp?

Answer: The lunch meal at camp is meant to replenish and rehydrate and rejuvenate the campers for the second half of the day. The lunch menu alternates between sandwiches and pizzas. Choices vary between ham, chicken, and turkey for the sandwiches and some veggies (lettuce, tomatoe, etc although they never seem to be eaten :)) will be provided as well. On both Sandwich and pizza days we also provide 1 or 2 fruit options to balance out the meal (eg Apples, Oranges, Grapes). If the camper requires a kosher or vegetarian meal, please provide specific instructions in the "Medical Information" or additional comments field on the registration form.

Question: Should my child bring a snack or a water bottle?

Answer: Campers may bring snacks and water bottles, although they may not be necessary. Cool water is available at camp throughout the day and campers are given frequent water breaks in between the drills and activities. Additionally, we provide sports drinks and snacks at the MLLS Camp "Snack Shack" which can be purchased during the lunch hour and water breaks.

Question: What if my child has allergies, can I feel comfortable about the lunch/snack options you will have at camp?

Answer: Answer: Over the past few years, many kids have enrolled in camp with various allergies, most commonly "the peanut allergy". We are very aware of this and will be sure to offer a camp lunch that meets their needs by verifying ingredients before serving. If the camper has any allergies or other dietary restrictions, please indicate so in the "Medical Information" section of the registration form and also mention on day 1 "check-in" where we will have a list of all campers with allergies or other dietary restrictions.

Question: My child is one of the older campers. Will he or she have a good camp experience?

Answer: Our programs have proven to be successful with boys and girls spanning different ages, experiences and backgrounds. The key to our success is personal coaching. Many of the drills that we do at camp are challenging even to some of the best professional players. Our coaches are aware of the varying skill levels at camp and they make sure that each player is sufficiently challenged. Additionally, players are matched up based on skill, experience and size during games.

Question: We can't attend the entire camp session. Do you offer partial tuition rates?

Answer: We recommend that players attend our entire session without interruption to receive the best possible instruction and experience from our program. However, we are happy to make arrangements to accommodate campers that have conflicts during the session. Single-day or half-day tuition is pro-rated. Please e-mail info@mllscamp.com to inquire about single-day, 2-day, and 3-day rates.

Question: My child would like to bring some teammates to camp. Do you offer group rates?

Answer: Yes, we do offer discounted group rates to groups of 3 or more. E-mail info@mllscamp.com to inquire about the discount and also describe your group and the number of kids in that group.

Question: Can you provide us with a receipt and the camp?s Federal Tax ID information?

Answer: Yes, we may provide receipts upon request. Please email us directly at info@mllscamp.com. The Federal Tax ID (EIN) for the Matt Lottich Life Skills Basketball Camp is 27-2442537.
