CAMBRIDGE, MA -- Josh Childress found some extra time to get a few extra shots up between Game 1 and Game 2 of the Atlanta Hawks first round match-up with the Boston Celtics.
Josh, whom the MLLS Sportsmanship Award is named after, worked out at MIT's Zesiger Center in the two off-days with the help of MIT senior guard Alan Ho, who is an MLLS Camp Director along with Josh's former teammates, Matt Lottich and Olatunde Sobomehin.
After finishing his junior year in the starting lineup alongside Matt at Stanford, Josh was selected 6th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2004 NBA Draft. Through four seasons, Josh has averaged 11.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals while shooting .522 from the field.
Josh and the Hawks will look to split the series with the Celtics in Game 2 tomorrow night at TD Banknorth Garden, 8 p.m. ET (TNT).
